This 2 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Safari is an ideal short adventure for travelers looking to experience the unforgettable thrill of meeting endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. The safari takes you to Volcanoes National Park, the best place for gorilla trekking in Rwanda. Starting and ending in Kigali, this tour offers scenic drives through Rwanda’s rolling hills, a close encounter with gorillas, and insight into the country’s natural beauty.
Upon arrival in Kigali, our professional safari driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or Kigali International Airport (for morning arrivals). Enjoy a scenic drive through Rwanda’s “land of a thousand hills” en route to Musanze, the gateway town to Volcanoes National Park.
Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for relaxation and dinner as you prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters in Kinigi. Here, you will receive a detailed briefing on gorilla trekking rules and safety guidelines. With your packed lunch, embark on your Rwanda gorilla trekking adventure into the lush rainforest.
The trek can last between 1 to 6 hours depending on gorilla movements, but the highlight is spending one magical hour in the company of a gorilla family. Watch them feed, play, and interact – a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife encounter.
After the trek, return for lunch at a local restaurant before driving back to Kigali. You will be dropped off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport for your evening flight.
