Itinerary

1 DAY 1: ARRIVAL & KIGALI CITY TOUR

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our professional tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, we'll embark on a city tour to discover the history and culture of this resilient nation, including a poignant visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre.

2 DAY 2: JOURNEY TO NYUNGWE NATIONAL PARK

After an early breakfast, we'll begin our scenic drive to the Western Province, home to Nyungwe Forest. Along the way, we'll visit historical sites like the Royal Palace Museum and the Ethnographic Museum, gaining insights into Rwanda's heritage. Lunch will be en route before we arrive at our accommodation near the park.

3 DAY 3: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING

Today's adventure begins with an early morning drive to Nyungwe Forest for a memorable chimpanzee trekking experience. Nyungwe is home to 13 primate species, and you'll have one hour to observe the chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Afterward, we'll transfer to Karongi, a beautiful town along the shores of Lake Kivu, with fantastic panoramic views.

4 DAY 4: LAKE KIVU BOAT RIDE & VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, we'll enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Lake Kivu, exploring its scenic islands and spotting various bird species like the African darter and pied kingfisher. Following lunch, we'll travel to Volcanoes National Park, the renowned home of the mountain gorillas and golden monkeys.

5 DAY 5: GORILLA TREKKING & DEPARTURE

The final day's highlight is an incredible mountain gorilla trekking adventure. Following a briefing at the park headquarters, you will enter the forest to search for these magnificent primates. This challenging but rewarding experience allows you to spend time with a gorilla family. After trekking, we will return to Kigali airport for your departure flight.
