This 3-day safari takes you to Fort Portal, the “tourism city” of Uganda, a region blessed with an abundance of natural wonders and cultural sites. From the geological marvels of the Sempaya Hot Springs to the historical significance of the Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru caves, this trip offers a unique blend of adventure, culture, and breathtaking scenery.
Your journey begins with a pickup from an agreed-upon location in Kampala. You will be transferred to Fort Portal, a scenic drive that takes you through the beautiful western region of Uganda. You will have a stop in Mubende for a break and lunch at your own cost. Upon arrival in Fort Portal, you will check into your lodge, relax for the evening, and have dinner.
After an early breakfast, you will depart for Semuliki National Park to visit the Sempaya Hot Springs. On your way, you will be treated to magnificent views of the snow-capped Mount Rwenzori. At the hot springs, you will witness the powerful steam and have the chance to boil eggs, a unique and memorable experience. You will also have opportunities for bird watching and photography. After the hot springs, you will return to Fort Portal for dinner and an overnight stay.
Today, after breakfast, you will visit the legendary Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru caves, learning about the fascinating historical stories behind their formation. You will also have a chance to hike to the top of Kyeganywa Hill for incredible photo opportunities. Afterward, you will begin your journey back to Kampala, with a stop in Mubende for refreshments. You will be dropped off at your preferred location in Kampala in the late evening.
