Your adventure begins with a pickup from Kampala. You will travel southwest, passing through the picturesque countryside and enjoying scenic views of rolling hills and tea plantations. A memorable stop at the Equator allows for photos before you continue with your journey. You’ll have lunch in Mbarara before proceeding to the park, where you’ll also pass the unique Twin Crater Lakes. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
The day starts with an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains. Your guide will take you on a hunt for lions and leopards, as well as herds of elephants, buffalo, warthogs, and Uganda kobs. The plains offer exceptional photo opportunities. After the game drive, you’ll return to your lodge for a well-deserved lunch.
In the afternoon, you will head to Mweya for a two-hour boat cruise on the magnificent Kazinga Channel. This channel connects Lake Edward and Lake George and is a haven for wildlife. You'll see schools of hippos, crocodiles, and elephants bathing on the banks. The channel is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with countless species to spot. After the cruise, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Enjoy your last breakfast in the park before starting your journey back to Kampala. You’ll have a stopover in Mbarara for lunch before continuing the drive. Your safari concludes with a drop-off at your original pickup point in Kampala in the late evening.
